Way to go, Matt Wieland!
We are thrilled to announce the newest Professional Engineer on our talented team of diverse professionals: congratulations Mr. Matt Wieland, P.E.! Matt first came to intern with Ainsworth Associates Mechanical Engineers his sophomore summer in 2018 amid receiving an education from the prestigious California Polytechnic State University in San Louis Obispo. Matt graduated Cal-Poly with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2020. His concentration in HVAC/R taught him many of the hands-on fundamentals applicable to the Building Design and Construction industry and set him up well to join our team full time after graduation. During his short time with Ainsworth Associates, Matt has proven himself to be a fast and adaptable learner tackling the more complex system designs that help make Ainsworth Associates so versatile, system designs such as steam and high-pressure condensate, pipe stress analysis, underground piping, 3D Building Information and Energy Modeling, a myriad equipment sizing calculations, along with all of the fundamental design tasks required for effective project management such as hourly building loads and duct design. Matt’s Professional Engineer licensure makes him the eighth Professional Engineer on the Ainsworth team. Congratulations, Matt!
