Alison also has experience in the area of energy analysis and measurement and verification of high-efficiency equipment performance as well as continuing education with AutoCAD MEP and Revit software and building energy modeling.
As a design engineer, Alison has performed thorough energy analyses on buildings of various sizes using energy analysis software including Carrier HAP, Energy Pro, Energy Plus, and DOE-2’s eQUEST.
Alison is responsible for HVAC and plumbing system design and oversight, geothermal exchange design, building energy modeling, report writing, specification writing and construction administration.

Roger Gravelle

Experience & Qualifications: Roger has over 14 years’ experience with mechanical design, primarily in the areas of Education and Healthcare Facility Design.
As a mechanical designer, Roger is responsible for HVAC and plumbing system design activities, as well as specification writing and construction administration. As a firm principal, Roger is responsible for HVAC and plumbing system design oversight.
Roger also has experience with Computer Aided Drafting and Design software, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and has applied design software such as Autodesk’s Revit to model the mechanical and plumbing systems of buildings. Roger has been responsible for the calculations and documentation for mechanical related LEED credits on over seven projects. He also has experience in energy analysis and measurement and verification of high-efficiency equipment performance. Further, Roger has achieved his professional certifications for LEED BD+C as well as Certified Plumbing Designer.
Greg has over 40 years’ experience in the HVAC and plumbing design Industry.

Experience & Qualifications: Greg has over 40 years in the HVAC and plumbing design industry involving a wide range of project system types and sizes. Project experience includes design and management of projects from conception through project close-out and commissioning. Greg’s specialized experience is in educational facilities, healthcare facilities, restaurants, office buildings, laboratories, dormitories, retail, and a wide range of remodel work and tenant improvements. Greg’s job duties also include specification writing, cost estimating, energy analysis using Carrier HAP software, and plan/peer review tasks.
Bruce has over 35 years’ design experience, primarily in the areas of commercial, educational, and corrections Facility Design.
Bruce Nipp, M.E.

Experience & Qualifications: Bruce has more than 35 years of mechanical engineering experience, primarily in the areas of commercial facilities, educational facilities, and correctional facilities, including design and evaluation of large central heating and cooling plants.
Bruce was employed at the Nevada State Public Works Division for over 30 years where he was responsible for oversight of mechanical systems design for a significant variety of projects including projects for commercial, military, educational, and correctional facilities. Mr. Nipp managed a staff of mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineers with oversight of project scope development, project cost estimating, project design review, and construction administration efforts.
Mr. Nipp is responsible for office mentorship and project quality assessment & quality control on various projects for Ainsworth Associates Mechanical Engineers. Bruce is also responsible for maintaining and evolving the company’s standard specifications and details libraries.
Larry has over 30 years’ design experience, primarily in the areas of commercial and geothermal systems.
Larry Green, M.E.

Experience & Qualifications: Larry has more than 30 years of mechanical engineering experience, including mechanical design of commercial and institutional facilities, high-temperature piping systems, and geothermal energy systems.
Larry has provided the mechanical design for conventional HVAC systems, laboratories, ground-source heat pump systems, industrial ventilation systems, district heating systems, and solar thermal systems. He has been part of a university facilities services team responsible for all mechanical aspects of new and remodel construction projects. As operations manager of a geothermal power plant, he was responsible for all aspects of operations and maintenance including management of staff and consultants, engineering and construction, supervision of plant improvements, implementation of safety and training programs, and management of permitting compliance. In the area of geothermal power generation, he has provided project feasibility studies and economic analyses, design of plant efficiency and reliability improvements, and provided engineering design and project management including preparation of plant construction drawings and specifications.

John also has experience in the area of energy analysis and measurement and verification of high-efficiency equipment performance as well as continuing education with AutoCAD M&P and Revit software and building energy modeling.
John is responsible for HVAC and plumbing system design, building energy modeling, report writing, specification writing, and construction administration.

Experience & Qualifications: Morgan has over 12 years of experience in HVAC and building automation controls. Morgan started work at Ainsworth Associates Mechanical Engineers in September 2017.
Morgan has performed thorough energy analyses on buildings of various sizes using energy analysis software including Carrier HAP & Energy Plus. In his project manager roll, Morgan emphasizes building strong industry relationships within both the design and construction phases to strengthen and broaden his own knowledge base.
The focus of Morgan’s education has been in Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Morgan is responsible for HVAC and plumbing system design and oversight, building energy modeling, report writing, and construction administration.

Cruz Kerver, P.E.

Experience & Qualifications: Cruz has experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Geothermal Exchange design, building energy modeling, and AutoCAD and Revit modeling.
As a mechanical engineer, Cruz investigates and performs calculations necessary for mechanical and plumbing design tasks such as duct sizing, equipment selection, pipe sizing, and plumbing fixture selection. Cruz also uses energy analysis software to determine efficient systems suitable for buildings analyzed. He is also responsible for compiling the energy modeling results into reports to relay and make suggestions for the analyzed building based upon the results.
Cruz’s education includes classes in the thermal sciences including thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.

Experience & Qualifications: Mark has five years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design, drafting, and manufacturing.
In his role as a mechanical designer, Mark performs tasks related to mechanical and plumbing systems design including calculations, building information modeling (BIM), sizing pipes and ducts, and making equipment selections. These tasks are accomplished by using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier’s Hourly Analysis Program, MS Excel, and more. Additionally, Mark employs his AutoCAD skills and experience when drafting to proficiently communicate said designs in an effective manner.
Mark’s education in mechanical engineering includes courses in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mechanical design, manufacturing, and computer-aided design. His minor in renewable energy included education in sustainable design.

Matt Wieland, P.E.

Experience & Qualifications: Matt has over four years’ experience in HVAC and Plumbing design, pipe stress analysis, and load calculations.
As a design engineer, Matt performs mechanical and plumbing engineering tasks to determine appropriate system equipment sizes. These tasks include building information modeling, analyzing central plant performance data, pipe sizing, duct sizing, pipe stress analysis, fluid dynamic analysis, and making equipment selections. Matt utilizes programs such as HAP, AutoCAD, Pipe-flo, CaePipe and Revit to accurately model the project at hand.
Matt’s education focused on classes pertaining to the HVACR field including thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermal system design, building heating and cooling loads, air and water distribution design, and refrigeration principles and design.
JACOB HAS EXPERIENCE IN HVAC AND PLUMBING DESIGN AND LOAD CALCULATIONS.
Jacob Roll
Title: Mechanical Designer
Education: Senior at the University of Nevada, Reno studying Mechanical Engineering.
Experience & Qualifications: Before joining AAME, Jacob worked through several engineering internships gaining valuable work experience in drafting and manufacturing.
In his position at Ainsworth Associates Mechanical Engineers, Jacob performs several tasks in the scope of mechanical and plumbing design, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), duct design, pipe sizing, and performing computer generated heating load calculations. Jacob has become proficient with the myriad software used by the firm including Autodesk’s Revit and AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, and Microsoft Office.
Jacobs’s education includes courses in thermal sciences which include heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. Jacob’s curriculum has also included courses in mechanical design and the computer-aided design process.
DYLAN HAS EXPERIENCE IN HVAC AND PLUMBING DESIGN AND LOAD CALCULATIONS.
Dylan Husted, EIT

Experience & Qualifications: Dylan has experience in HVAC and plumbing design, building load calculations, and AutoCAD and Revit modeling.
As a mechanical designer, Dylan performs the calculations and various tasks necessary to design new or replacement heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. He is also responsible for plumbing design, performing and analyzing load calculations based on building parameters, duct and pipe sizing/routing, specification writing, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Mr. Husted’s education includes energy-balance and thermal sciences coursework consisting of Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics. Dylan’s curriculum has also included courses in mechanical design and the computer-aided design process. Dylan is also certified in SolidWorks and his education continues with MEP design software including AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, and Bluebeam Revu.

Taylor Stevens

Experience & Qualifications: Taylor has experience in system and equipment design, equipment maintenance, project management, and manufacturing.
As a mechanical designer, Taylor performs tasks including load calculations, building information modeling, duct and pipe sizing, and assisting with equipment selections. During the design process, she utilizes tools such as Autodesk’s Revit software to coordinate with team members and their respective building design models.
Taylor’s education was focused in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, system design and renewable energy, as well as classes in geothermal energy exchange.
DANIELA LEVERAGES HER CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE IN HER HVAC/PLUMBING DESIGNS
Daniela Saldate
Title: Mechanical Designer
Education: Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering, University of Nevada, Reno.
Experience & Qualifications: Daniela has over three years’ experience with project management in the construction industry and leverages this experience in her HVAC/Plumbing designs. Before joining AAME, Daniela worked as a construction project engineer. She gained experience in supervising the scope of work of subcontractors and was responsible for tracking and identifying potential constructability conflicts. She was actively engaged in coordination meetings with the client, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure and provide effective construction directions.
As a mechanical designer, Daniela performs tasks that include designing various mechanical and plumbing systems involving heating, ventilating, cooling, and refrigeration. During the design process, with her construction experience in mind, she utilizes tools such as Autodesk’s Revit software to accurately design the project at hand.
Daniela’s education includes coursework in the mechanical engineering sciences consisting of Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Mechanical Design. She is proficient in and continues to educate herself in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, and Bluebeam Revu.

Zane Minore

Zane has experience in HVAC & Plumbing design, building load calculations, and AutoCAD and Revit modeling.
As a mechanical designer, Zane performs various tasks necessary to design new or replacement heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. This includes completing various calculations, selecting equipment, coordinating with sub-contractors, and sizing/routing ductwork. He is also responsible for plumbing design, performing and analyzing load calculations based on building parameters, duct and pipe sizing/routing, specification writing, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Zane’s coursework in the Mechanical Engineering program at UNR included heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanical design. Zane’s curriculum has also included courses in control systems and dynamics. Zane is certified in SolidWorks, and his modeling experience continues with software including AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, and Bluebeam Revu.
Carly Farthing
Title: Mechanical Designer
Education: Bachelor of Science (anticipated December ’25), Mechanical Engineering, University of Nevada, Reno.
Experience & Qualifications: Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
Experience & Qualifications: Before joining AAME, Carly worked as an intern
in the Building Sciences field, primarily in Environmental Engineering and Consulting. She gained valuable insight in building design and manufacturing, as well as materials testing and inspection.
As a mechanical designer, Carly supports the design of mechanical systems for commercial buildings with a focus on HVAC. Her responsibilities include duct and pipe sizing, heating and cooling load calculations, and building information modeling (BIM). She regularly uses tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, and Microsoft Excel to assist in project development and coordination.
Carly’s education in mechanical engineering includes coursework in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Mechanical Design. Her senior capstone project focused on optimizing HVAC economizers for improved energy efficiency. She continues to build her technical skills while contributing to the high standards of design at AAME.

Brianna Betancourt

Experience & Qualifications: Brianna has two years of experience in HVAC system design and mechanical drafting, supporting commercial projects from concept through construction documentation.
As a mechanical designer, her responsibilities include performing heating and cooling load calculations, developing 3D mechanical system models, sizing ductwork and piping systems, and selecting equipment based on project specifications and industry standards. She works daily with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft suites to create precise construction drawings and coordinated building system layouts.
Brianna uses her mechanical engineering and mathematics background to provide a strong foundation in problem-solving and analytical thinking. Her coursework in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mechanical design, and computeraided design supports the development of efficient, code-compliant HVAC systems. She focuses on creating designs that are practical, constructible, and aligned with project goals, delivering solutions with precision and reliability.
MAX HAS TWO YEARS’ EXPERIENCE IN HVAC AND PLUMBING DESIGN AND LOAD CALCULATIONS.
Max Petrenko
Title: Mechanical Designer
Education: Bachelor of Science (Graduation Fall 2025), Mechanical Engineering, University of Nevada, Reno.
Experience & Qualifications: Originally interning with Ainsworth Associates Mechanical Engineers, Max has two years of experience in HVAC & Plumbing design, building load calculations, and AutoCAD and Revit modeling.
In his position at Ainsworth Associates Mechanical Engineers, Max contributes to the design and analysis of HVAC, mechanical piping, and plumbing systems through calculations, duct and pipe sizing/routing, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Max has developed proficiency in software such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office applications.
Max’s education in mechanical engineering includes courses in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mechanical design, numerical methods, and the computer-aided design process. In addition to these courses, Max also minored in Mathematics.

Otto Klippenstein
Title: Mechanical Designer
Education: Bachelor of Science (Expected Graduation 2026), Mechanical Engineering, University of Nevada, Reno.
Experience & Qualifications: Otto has experience in AutoCAD and Revit modeling, along with HVAC and Plumbing design and building load calculations.
At Ainsworth Associates Mechanical Engineers Otto performs design tasks such drafting and modeling in both AutoCAD and Revit. His experience also includes duct and pipe sizing and routing and performing building load calculations using Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) for the sizing of mechanical equipment, both new construction and replacements of existing equipment.
Otto’s education includes courses in fluid dynamics, mechanical design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and computer aided design. He is certified in SolidWorks and continues his education in MEP design software like AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Revu.
TUESDEE HAS OVER 25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AND CONTRACTING BOOKKEEPING AND OFFICE MANAGEMENT.
Tuesdee Martin
Title: Bookkeeper
Experience & Qualifications:
Tuesdee has over 25 years of experience in the construction and temperature controls contracting industry. Her past experience in the HVAC field is a definite benefit in her joining the team at Ainsworth Associates Mechanical Engineers as bookkeeper.
In her position as bookkeeper, Tuesdee brings her experience and knowledge of office management, accounts receivable and payable, billing, payroll, human resources and financial record keeping. She feels strongly that organization, timeliness and attention to detail are keys to successful business practices and has brought that dedication with her. She has experience in the construction field in both Nevada and California, where her previous experience included working directly with mechanical contractors and suppliers on both public and private projects.
