Family Fun with Mousetrap Cars
October 31st represents our fiscal year end here at Ainsworth Associates Mechanical Engineers, and we like to turn our annual business review meeting into a party (because why not). And because it aligns so well with Halloween, of course we had to don our costumes! The highlight of the party was a company sponsored mousetrap car competition which involved a fixed bag of parts for an even playing field, a time limit, and the design, engineering, creativity, and critical thinking skills that you would expect from the region’s largest mechanical engineering firm. Using only the power of the mousetrap’s spring action, the team held a bracket style competition to see whose car traveled the furthest. Kudos to Mr. Wesley Wilson who won an entire day of leave for winning the competition with a staggering 64-foot displacement distance!
