Groundbreaking Ceremony, Debbie Smith CTE

Construction began on the new Debbie Smith Career and Technical Education Academy High School which will be built on the same site as the old Proctor R. Hug High School in North Reno. The project encompasses a total of four renovated buildings and two new buildings for over 230,000 square feet of technical education classroom environments that include culinary arts, veterinary sciences, agriculture, welding and construction, nursing and health science, manufacturing, and robotics. Mechanical systems vary depending upon space usage and include packaged root top units, four pipe fan coils, make up air units, and chilled water air handling units serving variable air volume boxes with hydronic reheat.
